In a statement to MAP after a meeting with Moroccan ambassador to Spain Karima Benyaich, Pau welcomed the exemplary cooperation between Morocco and Spain in many areas, notably at the political, economic and cultural levels.
The Spanish official underlined the importance of promoting parliamentary diplomacy between the two countries, which is fundamental in fostering bilateral relations, he said.
During the meeting, the two officials surveyed a number of international and regional issues of shared interest.
In this regard, Benyaich welcomed the excellent relations between the two countries, underlining that, despite the difficulties linked to the Covid-19 pandemic, this partnership has only been further strengthened.
In this context, the holding of the 5th Inter-parliamentary Forum, delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, will further reinforce and strengthen the existing bonds between the two countries.
