The opinion issued by the UN Human Rights Committee (UNHRC) condemning Algeria confirms that the Tindouf camps are a "lawless" area that should be legally denounced, said essayist and lecturer in constitutional law at the University of Paris Cité, Jérôme Besnard.

The ambassador and permanent representative of Morocco in Geneva, Omar Zniber, slammed before the Standing Committee of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) the instrumentalization by Algeria and the polisario of the ordeal of the population of the Tindouf camps which they use as a business to perpetuate the artificial conflict over the Moroccan Sahara.
